This website belongs to a group of companies in the entertainment industry called Focus in News Company – represented as Focus in News &CO, and was created with the aim of providing tips, recommendations, and curated user information on news, politics, sports, and culture, as well as entertainment content such as movies, series, music, and celebrity news.
Focus in News &CO
Our platform is available through a web portal (www.focusin.news) and an app, and this document aims to establish some rules for the use of our platform, which can also be accessed through a Facebook, Apple, or Google account.
Article 1 – Registration
The use of the Focus in News &CO platform is available free of charge to users with a valid email address and over the age of 18 (eighteen), who must keep their logins and passwords strictly confidential, personal, and non-transferable.
If you are under 16 (sixteen) years of age, you cannot register on the platform. You must use an account created by your parents or guardians and with their permission. It is prohibited to register users who have been suspended or deactivated by us, at our discretion.

1.11 – Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of RS and Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, without regard to principles of conflict of laws.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and you agree to such jurisdiction.
Article 2 – Use of the platform – Focus in News &CO
For the proper functioning of our platform, your criticism, comments, and interactions with other users must be truthful and free from any crime, discrimination, injury, defamation, slander, and violation of any third-party rights.
We provide a space for users to express their opinions and share reviews about the services; however, the publication of content that:
Is offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or abusive;
Contains hate speech, incitement to violence, or threats;
Promotes illegal activities or violates the rights of third parties;
Includes spam, unauthorized advertisements, or malicious links;
Contravenes applicable law or the ethical values of Focus in News &CO.
Focus in News &CO Place
Focus in News &CO Place is the subscription marketplace of Focus in News &CO, where you can subscribe to streaming, music, delivery, education, and other services.
Payments are processed via credit card in accordance with financial security and data encryption standards.
Article 3 – Intellectual Property
We created the algorithm, interface, and concept of the platforms and websites internally. By using the platform, you grant us a license to use your reviews and comments to advertise our platform.
Article 4 – Third-Party Platforms
We are not responsible for third-party platforms accessed through ours.

Article 9 – Acceptance of Terms of Use
9.1. Access to and use of the Focus in News & CO website (www.focusin.news) are subject to full and unrestricted acceptance of these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, as provided for in Law No. 12,965/2014 – Brazil (Civil Rights Framework for the Internet) and other applicable legislation.
9.2. If the user does not agree, in whole or in part, with the Terms of Use or with any current policy of the website, they must immediately cease browsing and refrain from using any functionality offered, under penalty of liability under applicable law.
9.3. Continued browsing of the website will be interpreted as tacit and binding acceptance of the terms set forth herein, in accordance with Article 7, item I, of Law No. 12,965/2014 - Brazil.
Article 10 - User Responsibilities
10.1. The user undertakes to use the Focus in News & CO website in good faith, respecting Brazilian law, morality, good customs, the rights of third parties, and the rules described in this Term.
10.2. The user is expressly prohibited from:

Gaining unauthorized access to restricted or protected areas of the website;

Violating the intellectual property rights of the website or third parties.
Using the website for illegal, fraudulent, or defamatory purposes;
Violating intellectual or industrial property rights;
Distributing viruses, malware, or engaging in any conduct that compromises the security of the platform;

Article 11 – Consequences of Misuse
11.1. Failure to comply with these Terms may result in the temporary suspension or permanent blocking of the user's access, without prejudice to applicable legal measures. As well as the adoption of appropriate legal measures, including based on Article 21 of Law No. 12,965/2014 - Brazil, and, if applicable, civil and criminal liability.
11.2. Focus in News &CO reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to restrict or terminate access to users who violate these conditions, without prejudice to applicable legal measures.
Article 12 – Competent Jurisdiction
12.1. To settle any disputes arising from this Term of Use, the parties elect the Court of the District of Caxias do Sul, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to the exclusion of any other, however privileged it may be.

Focus in News &CO is a business group composed of several companies in the entertainment industry that values the privacy of its users and has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy and personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Law and other laws on the subject, as well as to describe transparently how your privacy is protected by Focus in News &CO when collecting, processing, and storing your personal information.
1.1 Definitions
User: all individuals who will use or visit the Website(s) and/or Application(s), who are over 18 (eighteen) years of age or emancipated and fully capable of performing civil acts, or those who are absolutely or relatively incapable and duly represented or assisted;

Data processing: any operation performed on personal data, such as those relating to collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, filing, storage, elimination, evaluation or control of information, modification, communication, transfer, dissemination or extraction;
Purpose: the objective, the purpose that Focus in News &CO wishes to achieve from each act of processing personal information;
Necessity: justification for why it is strictly necessary to collect personal data in order to achieve the purpose, avoiding excessive collection;
Legal basis: legal grounds that make the processing of personal data legitimate for a specific purpose by Focus in News &CO;
Consent: express and unequivocal authorization given by the User who owns the personal data for Focus in News &CO to process their personal data for a previously described purpose, in which the legal basis necessary for the act requires the express authorization of the owner;

This policy applies, in general, to all Users and potential Users of the services offered by the companies that make up Focus in News &CO, including Users of the WEBSITES or other means operated by Focus in News &CO, and summarizes how Focus in News &CO, through such websites, may collect, produce, receive, classify, use, access, reproduce, transmit, distribute, process, archive, store, delete, evaluate or control information, modify, communicate, transfer, disseminate or extract the data collected, including personal identification information, in accordance with applicable legal bases and all privacy and data protection laws in force.
By accessing and/or using the Focus in News & CO websites, the User declares to be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age and to have full and express capacity to accept the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and the Consent Form for all legal purposes, or to be authorized by a responsible person to do so.

Purpose: Data necessary to process payments. To this end, payment data will be registered with the third-party company responsible for processing the payment.

Category of Personal Data: Corporate email and telephone number.
Purpose: For the prospecting of corporate customers (Companies), Focus in News & CO uses surveys and tools to locate contacts provided by the company itself for the purpose of being contacted, in particular emails or telephone numbers without personal identification, but rather specific sectors of the company. However, companies may occasionally provide the corporate email addresses of professionals responsible for the sector or for receiving company contacts, or redirect contacts through automatic messages. This data is processed for the sole purpose of establishing contact with the company to present business opportunities related to Focus in News & CO.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the controller.

Category of personal data: Behavioral data.
Purpose: Technological features are installed through cookies, pixels, and other algorithms to collect information about users' browsing habits and interests, either to create advertising tailored to users' interests based on their browsing and profile, or to personalize the user experience through a recommendation engine with content in line with their previous interests.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the controller.
Automatic data collection:
When you access our website, some information is collected automatically for the purposes of improving the browsing experience and flow, performing market intelligence analysis, such as the city of origin of the access, the system used, the website of origin, the pages visited, the time and duration of the visit, the equipment used, among other behavioral information so that specific advertisements can be targeted according to the user's interests, as well as to analyze the quality of the event, areas of greatest interest, and other data that enable the improvement of the features offered to users.
We emphasize that no personal data, that is, data that identifies or allows the identification of users, is collected automatically or without the user's consent. The data collected automatically does not allow the identification of the user present on the website and will not be used for this purpose. The information collected automatically is generally stored in the user's browser in the form of cookies. Blocking cookies may impair the user's experience when using our website.
Sharing and processing of personal information.
Focus in News &CO will not make Personal Data collected on its websites available to email list brokers without your express consent.
Focus in News &CO is a business group composed of several companies/brands and, for this reason, when you provide or your personal data is collected directly by any of the companies in the Group, you also allow it to be shared with the companies that make up that business group and may receive news, information, promotions, or other product or service disclosures from them.
You may withdraw such consent at any time in the future by unsubscribing from any message received from such companies or by contacting contact@focusin.news.
Focus in News &CO may disclose the Personal Data collected to third parties in the following situations and within the limits required and authorized by law:
With its customers and partners when necessary and/or appropriate for the provision of related services; such as for use in Artist search filters during the event.
With companies and individuals contracted to perform certain activities and services on behalf of Focus in News &CO;
With group companies;
With suppliers and partners for the performance of services contracted with Focus in News &CO (such as information technology, accounting, among others);
For administrative purposes such as: research, planning, service development, security, and risk management.
When necessary as a result of a legal obligation, determination by a competent authority, or court decision.
In the event of sharing Personal Data with third parties, all subjects mentioned in items I to VI shall use the shared Personal Data in a consistent manner and in accordance with the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, other website or country privacy statements, and all applicable privacy and data protection laws.
Legal reasons for disclosure of your data
In certain circumstances, Focus in News &CO may disclose Personal Data, to the extent necessary or appropriate, to government agencies, consultants, and other third parties for the purpose of complying with applicable law or a court order or subpoena, or if Focus in News &CO believes in good faith that such action is necessary to:

Focus in News &CO will notify the respective Users of any legal demands that result in the disclosure of personal information, in accordance with the terms set forth above, unless such notification is prohibited by law or by court order, or if the request is urgent. Focus in News &CO may contest such demands if it believes that the requests are excessive, vague, or made by incompetent authorities.
Security of personal information.
All Personal Data will be stored in the Focus in News &CO database or in databases maintained “in the cloud” by employees of specific internal departments and/or service providers contracted by Focus in News &CO, which are in compliance with current data legislation.
Focus in News &CO and its suppliers use various security procedures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of your Personal Data, including through encryption of data in transit, preventing the occurrence of any damage due to the processing of such data.
Although Focus in News &CO uses security measures and monitors its system to check for vulnerabilities and attacks to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, or alteration, you understand and agree that there are no guarantees that the information cannot be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any physical, technical, or administrative protections.
Data retention
Focus in News &CO has a Personal Data retention policy in line with applicable law. Personal Data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless there is any other reason for its maintenance, such as compliance with any legal, regulatory, contractual obligations, among others permitted by law.
A technical analysis is always performed to determine the appropriate retention period for each type of Personal Data collected, considering its nature, the need for collection, and the purpose for which it will be processed, as well as any retention requirements for compliance with obligations or the protection of rights.
Legal basis for processing.
Focus in News &CO only processes Personal Data in situations where it is legally authorized or with the express and unequivocal consent of the User.
As described in this Policy, Focus in News &CO has legal bases to collect, produce, receive, classify, use, access, reproduce, transmit, distribute, process, archive, store, delete, evaluate or control information, modify, communicate, transfer, disseminate or extract data about the User.
The legal bases include your consent (obtained expressly and unequivocally in the Consent Form), contracts and preliminary contractual procedures (where processing is necessary to enter into the contract with the User) and legitimate interests, provided that such processing does not violate your rights and freedoms, as can be seen in the Table of Purposes.
Such interests include protecting the User and Focus in News &CO from threats, complying with applicable legislation, the regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings, enabling the conduct or administration of business, including quality control, reports and services offered, managing business transactions, understanding and improving business and customer relationships, and enabling users to find economic opportunities.
The User has the right to deny or withdraw the consent provided to Focus in News &CO, when this is the legal basis for the processing of personal data, and Focus in News &CO may terminate the provision of its services to this user in the event of such a request.

Right to access and control your personal data.
Focus in News &CO offers the User several options for what to do with their Personal Data that is collected, processed, and stored, including its deletion and/or correction. The User may:
Delete data: the User may request the deletion of some of their Personal Data (for example, if it is no longer necessary to provide them with services).
Change or correct data: Users may edit or request the editing of some of their Personal Data. Users may also request updates, changes, or corrections to their data in certain cases, particularly if it is incorrect.
Object to, limit, or restrict the use of data: the User may request the discontinuation of the use of all or some of their Personal Data (for example, if we do not have the right to continue using it), or limit our use of such data (for example, if their Personal Data is incorrect or stored illegally), noting that Focus in News &CO may process Personal Data in accordance with the legal bases listed in the Table of Purposes.
The User has the right to access or take their data: the User may request a copy of their Personal Data and the data that the User has provided in a readable format in printed form or by electronic means.
The User may make the requests listed above by contacting our Data Protection Officer at contact@focusin.news, and these requests will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
The Data Controller may retain the data, not fully complying with requests for changes or deletions when there are reasons for their retention, such as the need to comply with legal, contractual, or regulatory obligations, or for statistical purposes or to safeguard the rights of the Controller, in accordance with Article 16 of the LGPD.
Revisions to the policy
If Focus in News &CO modifies this Privacy Policy, such changes will be posted prominently on the Focus in News &CO website. This Policy is effective as of May 13, 2025. Mediation and jurisdiction.
This policy is subject to the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the courts of Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, have jurisdiction to settle any disputes relating to it.
In the event of an incident involving Personal Data, Focus in News & CO hereby reserves the right to appoint JUSPRO – Justiça Sem Processo Mediação e Conciliação S/S Ltda. as the Mediation Chamber competent to settle disputes involving data subjects, pursuant to Article 52, §7 of the General Data Protection Law.
